Rates, Check-In and Check-Out
- Bed and breakfast (Continental breakfast, English breakfast available by arrangement):
- $125 up to 2 people
- $180 3 people
- $220 4 people
- $250 5 people
Self-catering option: $110 for 2 persons per night with a minimum of 3 nights booked. - We accept three types of payment: cash, credit card, or a (New Zealand) cheque accompanied by driver's licence or passport ID. With sufficient notice, pre-payment in advance by overseas cheque is also available.
- Check-in time is 4:30pm (earlier afternoon check-in may be available by arrangement). Dinner is served at 7:00pm. Check-out time is 09:30am.
- Your host welcomes your call anytime via cellphone (or cottage phone) .
- To ensure a great stay, the alps takes only one party at a time.
Amenities and Food
- Great food, queen-sized master bed, satellite TV, internet, hot shower, and open fire, all in cozy early 1900s cottage with fresh interior decor.
- Five-minute walk from Arthur's Pass National Park headquarters.
- One queen room and one room with one double and two single beds available.
- Maximum capacity: 6 guests.
- Food-wise, your host is versatile and experienced, and emphasizes local and healthy ingredients. Please inform us of your food preferences - and any allergies - when you book your stay. ( Sample menu choices )
Recreation
- The Arthur's Pass area is teeming with outdoor opportunities. Fancy a gourmet picnic, or something more/less adventurous/strenuous? Your host can arrange it.
- In season, we are in contact with local and South Island fishing, hunting, mountaineering, and climbing guides.
- Or just spend your time privately relaxing in the clear mountain air!
